Christina is an avid musician, performer, and songwriter. She has been playing piano since she was four years old, and has enjoyed teaching children and adults for over 35 years. Her training is in classical music, but she also loves blues, jazz, pop and rock. She is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music in Piano (NCTM), and studied with Olga Von Till while while pursuing her degree in Composition and Performance at Rutgers University.  She studied with Ruth Orcutt Bacon in Hawaii, and this is where she opened and headed a successful music school with 12 teachers and over 300 students. Christina loves seeing her students succeed in their musical endeavors, and encourages them every step of the way. Some of her students have won regional competitions in piano and composition, and a former student is currently composing for movies and television shows in Los Angeles. Christina is keenly interested in working with students who have special needs, and has adapted her programs to fit their capabilities while encouraging them t keep growing musically. She is the author of several books for teaching piano to young beginners and those with special needs, including the well-received
